The Launceston Day Procedure Unit is committed to delivering safe and high quality care for all patients.
We monitor a range of quality indicators and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support continuous improvement and ensure our services meet national safety and quality standards.
Indicators monitored by the facility may include:
- Infection control rates
- Patient experience and satisfaction
- Clinical quality measures
- Safety and incident reporting
- Continuous improvement initiatives
Performance indicators are reviewed regularly through the facility’s clinical governance framework, including oversight by the Medical Advisory Committee.
Quality Indicators
The Day Procedure Unit publishes selected quality indicators to demonstrate transparency and our commitment to patient safety and quality care.
Current indicators include:
Patient Experience: 96 percent of patients report a positive experience with their care.
Infection Control: 0.2 percent post procedure infection rate.
Complaints Management: All complaints are reviewed and managed through the Day Procedure Unit clinical governance framework.
These indicators are reviewed and updated periodically to reflect current performance.

We welcome feedback from patients and their families. Your feedback helps us understand what we are doing well and where we can improve.
Patients are encouraged to share compliments, suggestions or concerns about their experience with the Day Procedure Unit.
Feedback can be provided by speaking with our staff or by contacting the Day Procedure Unit directly.
